GREENLEAF GROVE HOUSE

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

The brief for this house on a corner site was to maximise flexibility for a family with 3 young children.
The house was designed to be flexible for future changes, to anticipate the changing needs of a young family.

Form was deliberately kept simple.
The main areas of the house were designed to be large and spacious.

One of the major requirements for the house was to achieve a sense of privacy,
as it was surrounded by neighbours on all on three sides.
Walls were therefore designed so that they block external views, creating indoor privacy.

Lush greenery was incorporated early in the design of the house
as it was set in a dense suburban neighbourhood.

Landscape and greenery therefore became an extension of the design for the house,
bringing a sense of the outdoors in.
