THE PRIVATE SUITE

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

The Private Suite is an obstetrician & gynaecological clinic at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore.
It is a clinic that primarily serves women.

In the design of the clinic, it was important to cater to the needs of patients.
The ambience, privacy and a sense of comfort and convenience;
these were key considerations on how to make the patient feel comfortable.

The colour scheme was deliberately chosen to exude feelings of peace and comfort.

The design also provided soft settings and conducive seating arrangements
so that one does not feel like they are in a large waiting area.

Sofas with firm backing and comfortable cushions were carefully selected for maternity patients to sit on.

To create intimate spaces, Thai cotton panels in soft patterns segmented the waiting areas.

Table lamps added a warm ambience, setting the suite apart from being another sterile hospital environment.
