DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

The design intent of the house was to bring the outdoors in.

Spaces were designed to flow seamlessly between indoors and outdoors to embody tropical living.

The house, when viewed from the entrance, appears modest and discreet.
Activities were orientated towards the rear of an elongated site,
with the swimming pool given pride of place.

The landscape and the pool became some of the main features for the house.

Light was carefully introduced into the house, avoiding the harsh glare of the tropical sun.
The swimming pool provides a cooling effect to the house;
while its setting and location gives the property a resort-like feel.
